I love WinAmp and you probably knew all about it already. Still I must say I love that WinAmp lets me listen or download an audio or video file.
Last year I took a bet with a friend. We wanted to see who could set up a web radio fastest and for free. I won. But I never used the radio, never blogged about it either thinking it could only interest two nirds like us. Well there are plenty of people with plenty so say. If you need to create a small web radio station and broadcast what you want with a mike and sound like a pro read on cause it’s easy and free.
Installment
1–First download and install WinAmp.
2–Head over to Listen 2 My Radio and sign up it’s free (free version has restricted amount of listeners).
3–Log in with your account info. You will be taken to the following page. (click images to view larger.)
4–Install your radio. Simply click the link and fill in password and usual info.
Note your server ip and port, you can also add text and a banner to your radio’s page like so:
Configuring WinAmp is no harder. Configuring WinAmp is no harder.
Broadcasting
Depending on your set up you can either create a folder and every audio file in that folder will be played one after the other in the order they are listed. You cold also choose to broadcast live with a mike. So have fun with your radios and let us know if you set one up.
