In the past, every time I came across a site or someone told me of a new way to make money, I would all jot it down in a pad. I have compiled a list of useful sites that can help you earn money online through your blog.

Advertising Programs:

The most common way bloggers earn money online is through AdSense,

Google’s contextual ad program. Other sources for advertising are Chitika’s eMiniMalls, WidgetBucks, Bidsvertiser, Adbrite and . There is also other popular advertising opportunity like Azoogle Ads, Vibrant Media, DoubleClick, Tribal Fusion, Kanoodle, Pheedo, TextAds, Value Click Media, MSN Adcenter and YPN (YPN is only available to US publishers).

Affiliate Programs:

A program that allows other companies, or individuals, to market a company’s products or services for a commission fee per item sold. Affiliate programs regularly used by bloggers are Amozone, LinkShare, Clickbank and Commission Junction.

RSS Advertising:

Feedburner and Bidsvertiser are the easiest and fastest way of injecting ads in your feed.

Sponsorship:

Depending on your pagerank and traffic level people and companies with similar content to yours will want to advertise on your site. The better your search engine ranking the easier it will be to find sponsors for your blog. Advertisers pay big money to display their links, buttons and banners on targeted blogs and sites.

Donations:

To get a significant amount of donations your blog has to contain helpful and quality articles. People don’t get rich on donations alone but they are worth considering. Usually donations are paid via a PayPal donation button.

Digital Products:

Many bloggers successfully sell digital goods. Digital goods can take the form of ebooks, automated learning, podcasts, graphics, services…

Blogging Opportunities:

With the rise of blogging companies are turning towards professional bloggers rather than having an internal employee take care of their blog. Also popular are sites like About.Com and BellaOnline who are actually a large index of how-to-articles. They cover every imaginable topic and hire bloggers. A blogger who writes for About.Com makes minimum 700$ a month for two articles a week.

Consultant:

If you do make it to the top of Google and search engines with your nice pagerank ad traffic you will be a guru. Gurus sell their knowledge, they write books, give consultations, they host seminars, they optimize sites for others and the list goes on.
